According to local media, a hospital employee in Italy has been accused of missing work on full pay for the past 15 years.
In 2005, the man allegedly stopped showing up for work at the Ciaccio hospital in Catanzaro, in the southern city of Catanzaro.
According to Italian news agency Ansa, he is now being prosecuted for bribery, blackmail, and abuse of office.
Over the years he is believed to have been unemployed, he was reportedly paid €538,000 (£464,000) in total.
Six hospital administrators are also being prosecuted in relation to the suspected absenteeism.
The arrests come after a prolonged police inquiry into absenteeism and possible fraud in the Italian public sector.
