PepsiCo has released its Positive Agriculture Agenda, which aims to shrink its carbon footprint and eliminate an estimated 3 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions by the end of the decade.
This will help to provide better food accessibility, economic opportunities, and allow PepsiCo as a leading food and beverage company to source 100% of its its key ingredients sustainably. Working with smallholder farmers, women, and minorities, the company aims to improve the livelihoods of vulnerable farming communities in the US.
By working with the World Wildlife Fund and the World Economic Forum, PepsiCo’s goal is to introduce and promote a globally accepted standard for regenerative agriculture and fulfil its responsibility to drive meaningful change.
