The sequel of 2018 blockbuster movie King of Boys (KOB) is shaping up in an exciting manner. We had earlier reported the news of seasoned actress Nse Ikpe-Etim joining the cast. Well-liked actor Richard Mofe-Damijo and the multitalented Efa Iwara have now joined the elite lineup of stars in the King of Boys Army.
Both actors made the announcements on Thursday, August 20, on their respective Instagram accounts. Richard Mofe-Damijo shared a picture of what is believed to be the movie script on his IG story. His suggestive caption reads: “I see you @kemiadetiba #imaKOBsoldier.”
Kemi confirmed this with an Instagram post in which she expressed her unreal excitement about having the icon feature in her movie. You can tell how excited she is about the addition of RMD to the cast of KOB sequel from her caption. She appears to be uber-excited from her use of repeated exclamation marks and #SomebodyPinchMe.
Efa Iwara used the same model as the new members of the cast of KOB sequel. The 2020 AMVCA nominee reposted a post by the producer on his Instagram story. The post shows a script which carries what seems like a written note from Kemi Adetiba to the actor.
The release date for ‘King of Boy 2’ remains unconfirmed but from the hints, Ms Adetiba has been dropping in the past weeks, there is reason to believe the production of the movie has commenced.
KOB is the 2018 4th highest-grossing movie and the biggest winner at the 2019 AMAA Awards, earning a number of awards including the Best Nigerian film of the year.
