According to the World Health Organization, malaria prevalence in Nigeria has decreased from 42 percent in 2010 to 23 percent in 2018.

Dr. Walter Kazadi, WHO’s Country Representative in Nigeria, said this at a press conference in Abuja on Friday to mark the 2021 World Malaria Day.

According to the Nigerian News Agency, World Malaria Day, which is observed every year on April 25, highlights global efforts to combat malaria and celebrates achievements.
