Young and talented Ghanaian female Afrobeats singer Gyakie Acheampong has revealed her biggest hit ‘Forever’ was written during the quarantine days.
Although the Corona virus pandemic has it’s own consequences and effects, it also seems to have had a positive impact on some artists especially Ghanaian artists by bringing out the best the in them.
Gyakie dropped her ‘Forever’ song of the ‘Seed’ album in 2020 and the song became an instant hit topping charts in Ghana, across the African continent and the world and also trending of the various major streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
The song received an additional major boost when the young singer featured Nigeria’s top Afrobeats sensational singer Omah Lay on the remix version in what most people termed as a good ‘Ghana Naija’ connection.
Gyakie has performed the ‘Forever’ on many stages across African and the world including her recent performance at the Africa Day Celebration Concert where she was introduced on stage by the legendary Angelique Kidjo, who spoke high of her of becoming one of the biggest stars to come out of the continent.
Well, Gyakie has revealed her biggest hit song so far was written during the quarantine days and has promised to share the whole playlist of the songs she was able to write during that period to the whole world.
I’ll definitely share a playlist of the songs I made during quarantine before the year ends. Forever was one of those ones though
