He sounded the word of caution ahead of the release of Sarkodie’s album “No Pressure” scheduled for 9th July 2021.

According to him, the refusal of fans to stream songs from platforms like Audiomack, Deezer. Spotify, Soundcloud, Tidal, Apple Music, Pandora, and YouTube goes a long way to cause harm to the brand of the artiste.

He urged fans to stream songs of the rapper in order to maintain his brand and also promote him to higher heights.

Taking to his Facebook, Fada SarkCess Richie wrote; SarkNation, please as we anticipate the release of the #NoPressureAlbum on July 9, these are few things I’d want us to know and do! Please with all due respect, let’s try as much as we can to desist from free downloads being it on any website, or telegram channel. Let’s go to the streaming platforms and stream them! Here are a few that Billboard takes data from… Apple Music, Audiomack, Spotify SoundCloud, Tidal, YouTube, Deezer & Pandora!!! Please let’s try and stream on these platforms most especially and if you wanna buy too, you can do that on iTunes (for iOS device users) and Amazon Music for everyone else including iOS device users. One thing is, for Audiomack, you don’t necessarily need to upgrade to premium to save a song for offline play so you can do it and listen to the songs anytime and once you’re online, they’re added as streams. Also, for a song play to count as a stream, you should play it for at least 30 seconds same as for a view count on any video on YouTube. One thing we SarkNation should know is that we’re here to support Sarkodie to do these things. He can’t do them on his own and that’s why we’re here! We shouldn’t be expecting him to be promoting the album always. We are to do that and that’s why we love him. Please, one thing too is, if we’re to see any Telegram channel or group post any song from the album or even subsequent tracks from Sarkodie after the album, let’s report that group or channel, please 🙏. And if we see anyone tweet here or post on Facebook a link to a free download site for a Sarkodie track, let’s report that account too!!! We always wanna top charts but we don’t wanna do the right thing. It’s about that time we started doing the right thing. Don’t think if you don’t download for free, you’re not supporting your own, bear it in mind that, you’re also causing harm to the artiste!!! Also, to the media houses, please I’d plead with y’all not to start broadcasting Official Music Videos on your tv stations as soon as they’re released. Y’all can wait for at least after a month to do that… Y’all can prolly, show snippets of the video and let your viewers know that the full video is on YouTube so they can go and watch except in the case where the artiste himself wants to premiere the video on your channel. Y’all can do this and help the acts promote their works! It costs nothing to do this good! …and please let’s always take YouTube very seriously… That’s where Billboard collects much of their data from… The goal is not just to top the charts but to make the world know about the masterpiece #NoPressureAlbum
